TX Receives Millions for Child Care, Prevent Disease

Vice President Joe Biden announced Thursday that the Obama Administration will make more than $228 million in Recovery Act funds available to Texas.

The money will go toward programs that provide care for children and prevent disease.  Recovery Act dollars will support a wide range of providers, including child care centers and home-based programs.

Twelve million of the funds will be spent on vaccines and grants to ensure underserved Texans receive the vaccines they need.
