Attebury Grain Storage facility is added to EPA's Superfund list

The Attebury Grain Storage facility has been added to the Environmental Protection Agency's Superfund list.

The facility, located in Happy, is the site of a plume of contaminated ground water.

Adding the site to the list makes federal dollars available to speed cleanup and meet the agencies commitment to protecting public health and environment.

The contaminated ground water plume is attributed to the use of a chemical to extinguish a fire when the grain storage facility burned in 1962.
