Red light cameras could be removed from Texas if bill is adopted into law

Red light cameras in the state of Texas could soon be a thing of the past, if some lawmakers get their way.

New proposed legislation says the red light camera's violate Texans' constitutional rights.

The author of the bill says those ticketed do not get to face a jury of their peers or have the right to face their accuser.

Those who oppose the bill say the camera's often provide revenue for cities and make roadways safer for drivers.
