Man Pleads Guilty In Child's Death

An Amarillo man will spend the next 50 years in jail for his role in the death of a seven year old boy.

Jason Mills pleaded guilty to first degree injury to a child this morning.

On top of that, he also pleaded guilty to third degree injury to a child involving another child, for which he received five years.

Last year William Weschke was taken to the hospital after Mills claimed the child hit his head while trying to climb out of the bathtub at this home.

Investigators say the child's injuries were made worse because he did not receive medical attention right away.
