Money Laundering bust on I-40 near Groom

More than $665,000 is now in the hands of the State of Texas after a traffic stop in Carson County.

Troopers on patrol in Carson County near Groom stopped a pick-up for speeding.

A Department of Public Safety spokesperson tells us officers noticed criminal activity, so they asked for permission to search the truck.

Troopers found $25,000 in two people's pockets, and close $640,000 in a spare tire mounted under the truck.

They arrested three men from Georgia, and booked them into the Carson County jail on Money Laundering charges.
