Mother Wants Baby Doll Ripped From Store Shelves

"I said my husband is in Afghanistan fighting for this country. How would he feel if he came home and his little girl said 'Islam is the light'," said a concerned mother. "I said my husband is in Afghanistan fighting for this country. How would he feel if he came home and his little girl said 'Islam is the light'," said a concerned mother.

A controversial doll made for kids ages two and up is becoming controversial for an alleged phrase the doll says.

But whether you believe the doll voices a religious phrase or not, many mothers are upset.

Several concerned parents have been calling Fisher-Price about what this doll just said.

"I said my husband is in Afghanistan fighting for this country. How would he feel if he came home and his little girl said 'Islam is the light'," said a concerned mother, who requested to remain anonymous.

Fisher-Price says in a statement:

"The only scripted word the doll says is 'mama.' There is a sound that may resemble something close to the word 'night, right, or light.' Because the original sound track is compressed into a file that can be played through an inexpensive toy speaker, actual sounds may be imprecise or distorted."

"Our children are very impressionable. They learn from their toys. My daughter repeats her toys all the time and it's just scary to me they may be learning things through their toys. That we think are completely innocent," said the concerned mother from Borger.

Fisher-Price has not recalled the toy, but will offer a refund to any concerned owners of this doll.

Some Wal-Mart's and Targets have voluntarily removed the product.

Other toy stores we checked with still sell the doll.

Now Fisher-Price said the sound is distorted because of the speaker.

We've taken the doll apart and brought the exact sound clip into our computers. We have not altered the sound in any way excpt looping it and slowing the phrase down. There are no distortions or other alterations.

Click on our exclusive web video where we have broken down the phrase and slowed the audio track.
