Amarillo,TX- The Amarillo Dillas announced today that they will be starting the Joe Frank Wheeler Memorial Scholarship.
The fifteen hundred dollar Scholarship will go to a area baseball and softball player who succeeds in the classroom and on the field.
Dillas General Manger Mark Lee says" Joe Frank is unforgettable, He truly loved sports and believed education was so important for everyone."
Joe Frank passed away on opening day last year. He was a longtime area sports announcer and had been with the Dillas Baseball Club since 1994.
