LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Third-ranked and unbeaten Nebraska is challenging the conventional wisdom in women's basketball that there's a wide chasm between top-ranked Connecticut and everyone else.
UConn has won 62 straight games and is favored to win a second straight national title.
But 21-0 Nebraska is running the table in the Big 12, which is widely regarded as the country's strongest conference.
National TV and radio analyst Debbie Antonelli says she would love to see Nebraska play UConn in the NCAA tournament. She says the Cornhuskers have so many weapons to complement All-America candidate Kelsey Griffin that they could give UConn fits.
Gail Goestenkors' (GEST-en-kors) Texas team has lost to both UConn and Nebraska. She says she wouldn't bet against the Huskers if those teams met.
