HOUSTON (AP) - Authorities are searching for three suspects after the body of a 35-year-old missing Houston teacher was found in his abandoned SUV which had been towed to a police impound lot.
The Houston Chronicle reports that officials believe Heladio Rojas (ROW'-hoss) Perales may have been killed at a friend's Wharton home last weekend, then dumped with his vehicle in a rural section of Fort Bend County.
Galena Park Police Chief Robert Pruett says Perales' family reported him missing at 4 a.m. Thursday.
A landowner contacted Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday about the abandoned vehicle which was towed Thursday morning.
A supervisor then discovered the body.
Galena Park police and the Texas Rangers connected the body to a crime scene in Wharton.
