Amarillo,TX-A new business industry is opening up in the panhandle, with it the hope of new jobs. But some worry that high end wine isn't a good fit for the panhandle.

The Bar Z Winery opens this week between Amarillo and Canyon.

But wineries haven't had much success here in the past. In the 80's one opened in Hereford that was exporting thousands of bottles of Texas wine to Europe.

But in the end the lack of local business caused them to close. But the new winery says it's time for another chance.
