Update 4:40 AP reports Maj. Hasan has been transferred from a Temple hospital to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

Update 4:10 20-year-old Allan Carrol of Bridgewater, NJ was wounded Thursday. The AP reports he was shot 3 times and is recovering after surgery.

Update 3:47 The Cameron Herald reports "A Cameron man was among the 13 fatalities from yesterday's shooting at Fort Hood. Mike Cahill, who worked as a physician's assistant for Dr. Sid Richardson from 1997 until January 2001, and who stilled lived in Cameron, was killed during the Thursday afternoon incident."

Update 3:01 The Chaplain's Corps on this huge Central Texas Army post will host a candlelight prayer vigil at the Fort Hood Stadium this evening (Friday, Nov. 6) beginning at 6 p.m. The vigil is being held to honor the Soldiers and family members impacted by the mass shooting incident that happened on post yesterday afternoon.

Update 2:12 AP: A classmate of the Fort Hood shooting suspect says Maj. Nidal Hasan was an outspoken opponent of the U.S. war on terror and called it a "war against Islam.''

Update 2:08 We've learned 21-year-old Francheska Velez is among the 13 soldiers killed Thursday.

Update 2:03 Metroplex hospital reports it received 7 victims from the shooting. One died en route to the hospital. Two underwent surgery and are recovering in the ICU. Four were stabilized; two transferred to Scott & white and the other to Seton in Round Rock.

Update 1:53 McHugh: The investigation is being conducted jointly by Army CID and the FBI.

Update 1:45 McHugh "This is a time for Army Strong to mean what it means."

Update 1:42 Secretary McHugh: "Our thoughts are with the families of those who were killed preparing to do what they love for the country they love."

Update 12:12 AP: Authorities say Fort Hood shooting Nidal Malik Hasan remains in a coma but is expected to live.

Update 12:00 News Channel 25's Sara Talbert is attending a press conference offered by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Update 11:33 AP reports "The initial investigation shows that Hasan allegedly used only one gun during the attack, a 5.7-caliber semiautomatic pistol. Army officials said Hasan also was carrying another handgun. But the law enforcement official said there's nothing so far to indicate the second weapon was fired.

Update 11:00 A counseling center has been established at the Killeen Community Center at 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard for those affected by the tragedy yesterday at Fort Hood. 

Update 10:58 AP: Obama meets with FBI chief on Fort Hood shootings, cautions against jumping to conclusions.

Update 10:17 Central Christian Church will hold a community prayer vigil tonight at 6:00 at 1301 Trimmier.

Update 9:56 AP reporting 21-year-old Michael Pearson, of Bolingbrook, Ill, was killed in Thursday's attack.

Update 9:48 AP: "The family of the suspected Fort Hood shooter says 'the actions of their cousin are despicable and deplorable."'

Update 9:45 Chet Edwards (D-Waco) will introduce HR 895 on the floor of the US House of Representatives.  Rep. John Carter, the resolutions lead sponsor, is enroute to Fort Hood. The text of the resolution reads "Honoring the lives of the brave soldiers and civilians of the United States Army who died or were wounded in the tragic attack of November 5, 2009 at Fort Hood, Texas.  The American people share the pain and grief of this tragic loss.  Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with the families of those who were so unfortunately taken from them."

Update 9:42 President Obama expected to comment on Fort Hood shooting in remarks at 10:30 a.m. You can catch those remarks on News Channel 25.

Update 9:12  An update to a previous report, the FBI has taken Hasan's computer from his apartment to be examined. Local law enforcement also reports Hasan's car has been recovered from an on post parking lot.

Update 9:05 ABC's Bob Woodruff has uncovered the identity of some of the victims:

• 27-year-old Nathan Hewitt, who was shot in the hip and calf.
• 19-year-old Amber Bahr was wounded in the stomach.
• Ray Saucedo was hit in the arm
• 21-year-old Keara Bono was shot in the back

Update 8:59  A neighbor tells the AP Hasan, the suspected gunman, gave her frozen broccoli, spinach, T-shirts and a Qu' ran. The report also confirms News Channel 25's report that Hasan gave away his furniture.

Update 8:05 Lt. Gen. Bob Cone says Fort Hood police Sgt. Kimberly Munley shot the suspect 4 times even though she was shot.

Update 7:43 Smythe: Scott & White had 25 surgeons ready at the ER. "Half of which were operating late into the night." 

Update 7:42 From Congressman John Carter's office "Congressman John Carter  is en route to Fort Hood and is expected to arrive in Killeen by late morning.  The Congressman plans to meet with Army officials to be briefed on the latest findings in the shootings investigation, and to determine what steps can be taken to help comfort the wounded and the families of those who lost their lives in yesterday's tragedy. "

Update 7:41 Smythe: We still need blood

Update 7:39 Dr. Smythe reports one victim said suspect jumped up on the desk and began shooting.

Update 6:59 Dr. Smythe at Scott & White reports all victims in his hospital are in stable condition. Some of the victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Update 6:40

• Investigators are interviewing hundreds of people trying to determine a motive for the attacks.
• 12 soldiers and 1 civilian among the dead. Hasan is reportedly on a ventilator in a local hospital.
• All of the remaining victims are said to be in stable condition
• The whole shooting incident lasted about 10 minutes Thursday
• Hasan was wearing his uniform at the time of the shooting
• Fort Hood reports having no issues with Hasan while he was working at Darnall
