Two people in eastern New Mexico have died from complications related to the H1N1 virus. The New Mexico Department of Health says the first was an infant male from Quay county.They say the boy did not have chronic medical conditions.
The second was a 54 year old female from Curry county who did have chronic medical problems. So far this year, 40 people have died in New Mexico as a result of the virus and in our area, 74 people have been hospitalized.
