Amarillo, TX - U.S. Senator John Cornyn of Texas has written a letter to President Obama expressing concern over the administration's reluctance to characterize the Ft. Hood rampage as an act of terrorism. Cornyn says it appears that Maj. Nidal Hasan may have been motivated by a fanatical religious ideology and this should serve as a wake up call to federal officials. He says we must not allow the safety of those defending our country be made a secondary priority to political correctness.
