
Portales, NM -- Eastern New Mexico University will reach out to students and communities in a number of rural counties thanks to a new grant.
The Portales University received half a million dollars in federal grants to improve distance learning.
The money comes from the US Department of Agriculture's Distance Learning and Telemedicine program.
The money will allow high schools and middle schools in Otero, Chaves and Lincoln Counties link up live with classrooms and professors at ENMU.
