OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) - CommVault Systems Inc. reported a flat fiscal second-quarter profit as rising operating expenses and revenue costs overshadowed an increase in sales.

NEW YORK (AP) - Eye drug maker Alcon Inc. said its profit fell 18 percent in the third quarter compared with a year ago, when it received a large tax benefit.

WASHINGTON (AP) - General Dynamics Corp.'s third-quarter earnings suffered from a drop in demand for business jets, but higher sales of defense products led the military contractor to boost its profit outlook for the year and it now expects business with foreign governments to grow next year, and beyond.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Silicon Laboratories Inc.'s third-quarter profit leaped as the chip designer reported an 11 percent increase in revenue and lower expenses. Stronger demand for consumer electronics helped lift the results.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Public Service Enterprise Group Inc., which generates, transmits and distributes electric energy, said its third-quarter profit fell 26 percent, which compared unfavorably with the same quarter last year.
