MIDLAND - The October numbers are in, and neither Midland or Odessa, rang up as many sales tax dollars as they planned.
The city got a check for about just over 1.6 million dollars, which is down more than 20% from last year.
The year-to-date total is down 20% from this time last year.
This is the sixth month in a row of decreases for the City of Midland after years of increases.
Over in Odessa, the city got a check for just over 1.5 million dollars, which is down 24% from last year.
October's numbers are based off of August sales.
