DALLAS (AP) - The 4-year dispute between Southern Methodist University and condominium owners over land for the George W. Bush presidential library is over.
SMU reached agreement Friday with Gary Vodicka on the last unresolved claim. Vodicka's an attorney who had alleged that SMU forced him out of his home to make way for the library project after lying about its intentions.
The terms of the settlement agreements are confidential, but Vodicka says it was a fair. He says everything he has said in the past about the dispute was proven true.
The agreement also includes a settlement with Vodicka's friend and fellow condo owner, Dr. Robert Tafel.
SMU says the agreements didn't assign liability. It continues to maintain that it followed proper procedures in acquiring title to University Gardens condominiums.
