He tased a 14-year-old girl, and now Tucumcari Police Chief Roger Hatcher is on administrative leave while the city conducts an investigation.
Hatcher says he had no choice but to tase 14-year-old Kailee Martinez after she repeatedly refused to follow his orders to stop running away from him.
Kailee though, maintains she did not run and the chief used excessive force.
Kailee's family is in the process of filing a lawsuit against both Hatcher and the City of Tucumcari.
