Alcohol is believed to be a factor in an accident that killed a Clayton man.
New Mexico State Police say it happened Sunday on Highway 406 in Union County near Clayton.
They say 23 year old Marco Lujan-Ortiz lost control and left the road.
He then hit a fence and rolled several times.
Lujan-Ortiz was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
A spokesman for the State Police says the driver may have been drinking before the accident.
