Two missing girls from Amarillo were found safe in Bogalusa, Louisiana late this afternoon and their father is in U.S. Marshals custody.
On April 18th, the mother of the 2 girls arranged for Jerry Bush to visit the girls in Amarillo. Bush is the biological father of the two girls, but did not have court ordered custody or access. On April 19th, Bush did not meet the mother at their pre-determined location to return the children.
The mother reported the children missing and after an investigation, officials say Bush hired a taxi to take him and the tow girls to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Potter County District Attorney's office accepted two counts of Kidnapping on Jerry Bush.
On Tuesday, April 28th the U.S. Marshals office notified Amarillo Police that the two girls and their father were located in a trailer home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Jerry Bush was arrested without incident.
