Area organizations team up to create alcohol and drug prevention program

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Two organizations have teamed to bring a new program to Amarillo in order to combat alcohol and drug abuse.

Vision Zero Amarillo and Impact Futures have created a new program called ADAPT, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Training program provided by Texas FRIDAY.

ADAPT’s mission is to empower local leaders such as law enforcement, school personnel and community coalitions by providing them with the knowledge they need to help reduce underage impaired driving and substance use in Texas.

Training for ADAPT will be on Tuesday, March 19, at the Texas Department of Transportation located at 5717 Canyon Drive at 11:00 a.m.
