AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Friends of the Howardwick couple who were fatally shot earlier this week in their home will be hosting a benefit for the couple’s six children this weekend.

Four of their six children were in the home at the time of the murder and were the ones who called 911.

Since the murder, friends of Garrett and Fierro been in contact with both families and have taken on the responsibility of raising money as the families grieve their loss.

On Sunday, Feb. 24, a benefit and silent auction will be held at MJ’s Saloon and Grill at 3705 Olsen Boulevard beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Friends of Garrett and Fierro have also set up an account with Amarillo National Bank and have designed t-shirts to sell in Clarendon and Amarillo.

Please help these kids! They lost their parents and we want to make sure they are taken care of!
