AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Richard Havens, the director of Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare (AAM&W), has resigned.
The City of Amarillo says the resignation will be effective this Friday, Feb. 22.
As of now, there is no word on his replacement.
Havens has been with the department for four years.
During his tenure, Havens was responsible for the daily operation and care of the city shelter, employees and animals.
NewsChannel 10 will be sitting down with Havens this afternoon to discuss his resignation and what comes next for AAM&W.
