AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - This week’s Amarillo City Hall Agenda includes the consideration of purchase approval for a replacement vehicle for the Amarillo Fire Department.
The estimated amount for a replacement vehicle costs $577,743, and is scheduled to replace Unit No. 6474, which is a 2004 pumper-style fire truck.
If approved, a new fire truck will be used for daily operational requirements.
This week’s agenda also includes consideration to purchase a new street sweeper, which would cost $280,145.
If approved, the new unit would replace unit 7590, which the city says has reached the end of its usable life-cycle.
A resolution to support a recent application for Affordable Housing Tax Credits is also included in this week’s agenda.
Commons at St. Anthony’s, LLC is proposing a 125-unit elderly multi-family project on the eastern side of the existing historic former St. Anthony’s Hospital.
This particular development is within the North Heights Neighborhood Plan, which is an amendment to the Amarillo Comprehensive Plan.
The city’s Planning and Development Services Department said increasing the availability of affordable housing aligns with the city’s efforts to serve needs of the community as identified in the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
Today’s meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Amarillo City Hall in the Council Chamber located on the third floor.
