AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Just about anywhere you go in the country, there will always be some loyal Patriots fans nearby and here in Amarillo, it is no different.

"Just playing pee-wee football when I was kid, I’m wearing the Patriots logo and it was just easy to look up to the big Patriots team and kind of fall in love and that’s where it started and it’s been that way ever since,” said fan Trevor Moya.

The Patriots have built a dynasty over the last few decades and third year offensive lineman Ted Karras knows their quarterback has had a lot to do with that.

“It’s pretty surreal when you first get there. He’s a great leader and obviously a great player who’s been doing it for such a long time and to be a part of a group of guys that directly communicate with him and execute with is pretty special,” said Karras.

While Patriots fans are nationwide, they all call Foxboro home.

"We went to Boston in the fall and went to a game together and now that was amazing because we weren’t the only Patriots fans,” said Shevon Moya. “We were in a crowd and a sea of Patriots fans and nobody was hating on you and the love was everywhere."

Whether you’re in Amarillo or Boston cheering for the Pats, the guys on the field feed off the energy of their die hard fans.

“Man, for the Amarillo fans you guys are certainly loyal all the way down there and I hope we can put on a good show for you guys,” said Karras.

Patriots fans from Amarillo and beyond could see another victory for their team tonight, giving them yet another year of bragging rights.

The New England Patriots are playing their third straight Super Bowl game, taking on the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta.
