POTTER COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - The Potter County Sheriff’s Office recently donated more than $2,600 to two local non-profit organizations.

In November and December, PCSO employees were able to pay a fee to participate in No Shave November or allow the ladies to wear jeans.

Half of the proceeds raised during that time were dedicated to the Benefit Board for employees in need. The other half of the proceeds were dedicated to two local non-profit organizations.

The employees at the Potter County Sheriff’s Office chose to give half of their donations to the Cancer Survivorship Center, also known as 24 Hours in the Canyon, because several employees are cancer survivors.

They chose to give the other half of their donations to the Turn Center because some PCSO employees have children that benefit from the organizations' services.
